MadCAP, Madison Creative Arts Program is having a fundraiser Kid’s Night Out this Friday November 14th 6-9. Event starts with a pizza party with activities and then watching Lilo & Stitch. MadCAP suggested donation of $20per child.

Support a Dream at American Family Children’s Hospital
Dream Fest is an event to raise money for the Children’s Hospital. Held at Dream Kitchen it’s an elegant cocktail affair to benefit the patients and families of the Hospital. Join them for an “Enchanted Evening of Giving” featuring a night of live music, food, drinks, cooking demos & raffles.

Farmer’s Market Moves Inside
Don’t forget this weekend is the 1st indoor Farmer’s Market of the season. Saturday November 14th at the Monona Terrace 7:30 to 12. Over 70 booths have been reserved so there should be plenty of fresh vegetables, meats, cheese, bakery, eggs, honey, maple syrup, and more to eat. So come indoors to enjoy warm temperatures, live music, and fun shopping. The Dane County Farmers’ Market is your “farmer-fresh supermarket”.

It’s time for Winter Art Fair off the Square this Saturday & Sunday November 15 &16th 9-5. With over 144 Wisconsin exhibitors with a wonderful selection of pottery, paintings, fiber, glass art, wood, photography, jewelry, graphics, sculpture and more. In addition, on Saturday the art festival features a Silent Auction of artwork contributed by our exhibitors, part of the proceeds benefit the Youth Scholarship Fund. There will be a special Young Collectors’ Corner where only children under twelve are admitted to purchase artwork of their choosing. Much of the art is the same as in exhibitors’ booths but at a much reduced price. There will also be live music to enjoy while you shop.

It’s also the time of year to remember the less fortunate members of our community in Madison. Food pantries are stress at this time of year to keep their shelves full with the 2 major holidays coming up and just regular need. The Pantries need non-perishable food plus personal essentials items. Cash donations are also welcomed because it gives them the chance to purchase items they need at a discounted rate.
