2019 is already halfway over and there are several trends we’ve definitely taken note of. Here are a few of our favorite trends we’ve found from the homes that attract the most buyers and the changes and updates homeowners are migrating towards for the look of their home.
No More White
The days of the all white cabinetry kitchen is coming to a close. While the look definitely brightens up a space and will always provide that clean, crisp appearance, we are seeing more and more color added back into the kitchen. Whether it is two-tone cabinets with darker colors on lower cabinets and whites on upper, or all gray, all navy. We are seeing color and we are LOVING it.
Tile Wall Features
In addition to color being added into the kitchen, more homes are creating statement wall features with tile and backsplash to really give the kitchen life. The kitchen is a main staple and gathering place for many homes and having those statement walls, whether it’s a beautiful mosaic tile or colorful backsplash, will definitely be a talking point.
Spa Like Baths
From big spacious baths to open showers, homeowners are making their master bathroom their own personal oasis and retreat. Master bathrooms have been a growing “must” have on a buyer’s house hunting list for years now, so making sure those master baths are really inviting is a definite draw.
Glass & Steel Room Dividers
Open floors plans aren’t going anywhere soon, but more and more homeowners are adding statement making partitions made of thin glass and metal. The purpose is to give the allusion of the open layout, but creating a more defined sense of space without making the room feel cramped and closed off.
Dark Moody Colors
For the last decade, gray and white has dominated walls and trim, replacing the once beige standard. However, now as people continue to create more open living, they are finding it’s okay to add a darker, moody color into a room to accent a space without making a room feel too small or dark.
