The vibrant art scene in Madison is gearing up for one of its most anticipated events—the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMoCA) Fall Gallery Night! This year, we are excited to host Emma Larson, a talented ceramicist and sculptor, at our Monroe Street office.

Join us on Friday, October 4th, from 5–9 PM, to explore Emma’s captivating works and connect with the community during this unforgettable evening of art and inspiration.

Meet Emma Larson: Redefining Contemporary Ceramics

Emma Larson, the creative mind behind Mudd Magic Ceramics, is a contemporary ceramicist and sculptor currently completing her senior year in Art Education at Edgewood College. Her work is inspired by renowned artists like Akiko Hirai, Florian Gadsby, and Eric Landon, blending meticulous craftsmanship with innovative techniques.

Emma’s art challenges traditional approaches to ceramics, creating pieces that are as visually striking as they are thought-provoking. Recently showcased at Edgewood College’s Spring Art Show, her unique perspective has earned her recognition as a rising talent in Madison’s art community.

Beyond her studio, Emma is passionate about making art accessible. Over the past two years, she has brought pottery wheels and hands-on clay experiences to local neighborhoods, fostering creativity and connection.
