This fall’s Gallery Night in Madison is our chance to shine a spotlight on local creativity—and we’re delighted to welcome Erin Liljegren to our Atwood Avenue office on Friday, November 7, from 5–9 p.m.

🎨 About Erin

Erin’s work, found via her Instagram feed (@erinliljegren), reveals an artist deeply engaged with reclaimed materials, structural commentary, and bright expressive layers. Her bio matter-of-factly calls her a “Painter. Printmaker. Junk-scavenger.” According to her website, Erin often uses recycled cardboard, wood scraps and packaging materials as surfaces for paint, drawing and printmaking. Her subject matter touches on themes like environment, industry, human habitat and social justice—but she approaches these heavy topics with playful color, texture and a sense of uplift. From her Instagram posts one can see: works layered with acrylic and ink, mixed-media on repurposed surfaces, and a clear aesthetic of transformation—trash into art, detritus into design.

Erin will be on-site for part of the evening to talk about her process, inspirations and how she works with found materials to carry meaning.
