MMoCA Gallery Night is just around the corner, and we’re excited to host Amy Zaremba at our east side office 2229 Atwood Avenue on Friday, May 16 from 5–9 PM. Join us for an evening of bold color, meaningful storytelling, and community-focused artwork in one of Madison’s most creative neighborhoods.

Meet Amy

A muralist and painter based right here on Madison’s east side, Amy Zaremba is known for her vibrant, graphic style and the sense of community that shines through her work. Her paintings draw inspiration from the contrasts between her northern Wisconsin childhood and her love of travel and urban life. Whether she’s capturing the hidden beauty of everyday cityscapes or transforming public walls with large-scale murals, Amy’s art invites viewers to pause, reflect, and imagine together.

Her work has appeared at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the Bayview Foundation, and the Madison Youth Arts Center, among others. Amy often collaborates with local groups, including youth and seniors, to co-create murals that tell shared stories and spark connection.

At our Atwood Avenue location, Amy will showcase a collection of her smaller works—pieces that focus on overlooked natural and urban scenes that inspire everyday awe. These are the moments and spaces that often go unnoticed, rendered here in bold, thoughtful color.

This is a perfect stop on your Gallery Night route, especially if you love east side Madison’s creative energy. Amy will be on-site to talk about her process, her love of mural-making, and how art can bring communities together.
