3 Tips for Staging and Selling Your Home Over the Holidays: Halloween Edition
When you’re Selling your home during Halloween, it is still possible to maintain holiday traditions while your home is actively on the market! Here are a few suggestions to help you keep the holiday spirit and still have the Buyers coming in:
- First impressions first. Trick-or-Treaters only see the outside of the home, so most homeowners only decorate the exterior with skeletons and spiders. What they see, your Buyers also see. How can you make it fun without being cheesey?
- Tame it down. Try to keep your decorations to a fun & festive minimum. A full on graveyard with cobwebs and motion-sensing decorations can be really fun, but not if you’re a Buyer with a toddler in the middle of the day rushing off to the next house. Put yourself in the Buyer’s shoes; can they still imagine their furniture among all your holiday decor?
- Keep decorations current. Don’t be that house that leaves a ghost in the front yard for a month after Halloween ends. Be sure to take down decorations in a timely manner after the holiday is over.
