It’s the time of year for the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art Fall Gallery Night and we are so excited to feature Mark Viser at our Atwood office this year!
Here’s a little about Mark!
Though Mark has been involved in art his whole life, he began focusing on watercolor painting around 2015 and has since expanded his skills to include acrylics and oils. His work mainly features landscapes, architecture, and urban environments. He’s particularly interested in scenes that blend green, natural growth with the bustling, man-made aspects of cities.
When starting a new project, Mark aims to capture the feeling of being in that place and time, evoking a sense of nostalgia for often-overlooked places. He finds beauty in what many consider eyesores, like telephone wires and traffic cones, believing that these elements will be missed once they’re gone.
For the Fall Gallery Night he is showcasing new ink and watercolor on paper and oil on canvas paintings.
You can discover more about Mark and his work on his website and social media page.
