We Are All Aware It’s Cow Poop Right? Just Checkin’
Throw that cow pie with all your might! It’s that time again for Prairie du Sac’s Wisconsin State Cow Chip Throw. This Thursday August 28th to Saturday August 30th. It’s the 40th year and it keeps getting better. About 40,000 people attend this Labor Day weekend event and many try to break the 248 feet state record. Besides the cow pie tossing they will be yoga, races, live music tons of different types of food, beer garden and lots for the kids to do.

Do Tell Wilhelm Tell, Do Tell
Apples will be targeted by near expert marksmen this weekend in New Glarus during the Wilhelm Tell Festival. This festival has been held for 77 years. The people of New Glarus present Schiller’s traditional play paying honor to the greatest Swiss Arch. There will also be a craft sale, art show, pageant, yodeling concert/contest and street dance. You don’t have to be Swiss to have a good time here this weekend.

Men in Kilts tossing telephone poles, Heck Yah! Wisconsin’s largest Highland Games kick off Friday night of Labor Day weekend for a celebration of all things Scottish, Irish and Celtic. Come hear the mighty roar of the bagpipes, see the kilted athletes perform their feats of strength, watch the spinning, leaping Highland dancers, shoot the longbow, toss the battle axe, and grab a pint or a wee dram at St. Andrew’s Pub to the sound of the music of the British Isles. There will be venders with all sorts of wares for sale and so many food choices you won’t know where to start.
