After teaching art in Madison schools for 20 years, I am so happy to be taking the time to create my own! The idea for these tiny ceramic, sculptures actually began as an art project for students: how much detail can you create on a small scale? As I created examples for kids, I drew inspiration from coral reef for all of Mother Nature’s exquisite detail and creativity. I hope, too, that these works might serve as a reminder of our planet’s works of art and our responsibility to care for them.
