Beautiful natural surroundings close to home
One of Madison’s newest library branches housed in a renovated commercial development provide residents of the east side of Midvale Heights immediate access to thriving selection of locally owned shops. The Odana Hills golf course and Southwest Bike Pedestrian Path provide excellent opportunities for summer bike rides around the city and winter cross country ski trails. The UW arboretum is just a short distance away for nature lovers, and most residents of Midvale Heights enjoy ample space in their yards to create their own beautiful landscapes.
Neighborhood spirit you can see
Perhaps nothing speaks to the spirit of the people in the Midvale Heights neighborhood than the Bison Prairie Gateway project. This is the kind of neighborhood that takes an old abandoned lot next to a bike path and turns it into a public art project that brings out the best of their neighbors’ talents and results in beautiful sculpture and prairie restoration. That’s probably why this is one of Madison’s favorite neighborhoods.
