On March 24th, Wisconsin released the list of Essential Businesses and Services that should continue working during the 30 day Safer at Home order. Real Estate and their affiliated businesses that support the buying and selling of property are included on this list. Due to this, we wanted to address how Lauer Realty Group will continue to function during this time and under this order. Housing is a critical need and we do not take this responsibility lightly so we understand the importance of reinforcing all CDC guidelines to help flatten the curve to slow the spread of COVID-19/coronavirus. What does this mean for Lauer Realty Group now? Our company is suspending all showings and in-person meetings unless you are a current client with critical housing needs or are already in mid-transaction. We encourage you to speak directly with your LRG agent about this and to make a plan for working virtually during the Safer-at-Home order.
We recognize that some people need us to help them move in this time – people who are in the middle of a buy/sell process, have a firm relocation timeline, have physical or financial requirements or family changes that necessitate this. Lauer Realty Group has been updating our protocols and practice almost daily over the last 2 weeks as each new development in this pandemic has brought new recommendations for behavior and best business practices. Our first and foremost commitment is to people and our community, and we have been working hard to maintain and update the most effective ways to ensure we all remain safe and healthy when our clients have pressing and essential real estate needs.
For those clients with critical real estate needs that cannot be delayed during this order – please know that we will continue to update our systems and practices to be as safe as possible for our Agents, Buyers, and Sellers, and have implemented new closing procedures to maximize social distancing and limit the spread of this virus.
What we are asking of you? For clients who are thinking about buying or selling, but do not have an essential need currently, let’s meet virtually to get to know each other, determine your needs and goals, and give you our best advice to prepare you to move forward once this order has been lifted. We can do this over Zoom, WhatsApp, Facetime, or whatever way is easiest for you. In doing this, we can still provide critical real estate services in a way that will care for all the people in our community, country, and on the front lines fighting this pandemic.
