This is my favorite time of year to take my dog, Mia, to the Prairie Moraine Dog Park in Verona. I love hiking through the woods when the leaves are changing colors. Especially if I can enjoy my favorite coffee while doing so. This dog park has numerous hiking trails throughout the park. I usually walk the perimeter of the park which takes approximately 45 minutes. It’s nice getting a workout while allowing Mia to run free. There is plenty of nature to observe at the park as well: birds, trees, wildlife, prairie grasses, and wildflowers.

There are picnic tables and benches to sit and relax on while looking at the great views and allowing your dog to run around. If your dog likes to play catch there are open areas to do so. If you want to check it out it is $5 for a one day pass, otherwise you can get a year long pass for $30. The park opens and 5am and closes at 10pm.
